Sigg- The Lightweight and Leak Proof Aluminium Drinks Container for Kids

Unlike the typical plastic juice/ sippy cup, the Sigg water bottle is made from aluminium thus was of great interest to our toddler tester. The cap simply screws on after filling the bottle and can be flipped open easily exposing a screw top sippy drinking element. Simply turn the mouth piece to allow liquid to flow and then turn back to ensure a completely leak proof bottle.
We initially wondered whether our toddler tester may find it hard to open and twist the cap to access their drink but we were surprised at how easy they found it. The bottle was carried around in a bag full of other items including dry clothes, books and toys during travel. The Sigg bottle did not leak or leave any residue within the bag whatsoever.
Sigg bottles are suitable for all beverages including water, juices, soda drinks and much more. Sigg water bottles are very similar in style to a flask. However, Sigg bottles for children are not designed to insulate drinks. Therefore, we would like to warn parents that whilst Sigg water bottles can carry drinks of a high temperature, it is unwise to allow children to carry or handle a Sigg bottle containing hot liquid as the heat penetrates through the aluminium by conduction and the external temperature of the Sigg bottle could burn or scold a child. Therefore, we advise that the children’s Sigg bottles are used for cold drinks only. However, Sigg do sell a neoprene pouch/ cover which can protect little hands although the Sigg children’s water bottles will only keep drinks warm for a short time period. Therefore if you wish to make use of a Sigg bottle for retaining heated drinks, the Sigg ‘Steelworks’ range is the suitable solution.

Mighty Meals in a Minute!
There are times when making meals for your little ones can be difficult. Whether it’s because you have a meal planned for the adults of the household which isn’t suitable for younger children and you simply don’t feel up to making two meals, or whether it’s simply due to time constraints. There are times when convenience foods are the most sensible and realistic answer.

Although the Mighty Meals seemed to smell quite nice after being heated, one of our toddler tasting testers wasn’t hugely impressed by Organix range and turned down the meals offered after only a few spoonful’s. We would like to suggest that the reason for this response was due to the fact that this toddler had been weaned using 100% natural, home made products and had then continued to eat home cooked meals each day. Our second toddler tasting tester responded positively to the Organix Mighty Meals and overall seemed to enjoy eating the meals.
