The uterus has now shed its lining during your menstrual bleed and is preparing a new bed of blood rich tissue in which to grow a baby.

Your eggs are ripening in one of your ovaries (you have two ovaries which tend to release eggs alternatively each month). The eggs are preparing to be released ready for conception.
