Week 9
Your Baby is about the size of a grape!
This week the cartilage and bones begin to take form. The basic structure of the eyes are well underway and the tongue begins to develop.
The intestines are starting to move out from the umbilical cord into the abdomen as the baby grows and makes room. The fingers and thumbs have now developed but are very short and webbed.
You have now missed your second menstrual cycle, your breasts may feel fuller and be quite sensitive. Use a support bra to reduce the pain that this may cause.
You may be experiencing the following symptoms:
- waistline expanding
- fatigue
- breasts fuller, tender and sensitive
- acne
- mood swings
- increased hunger
- cravings
- bloated, swollen tummy
- increased need to urinate
- nausea
- heart burn
- indigestion
- headaches
